Hey everyone! I hope you all had a fun (and a safe) fourth of July. So much has happened recently and I’m so excited to tell you all of the details! Fourth of July, the cardboard boat race, going to the cafe almost everyday, and I got mouth surgery!

Recently I got some teeth removed. It was up to 8 teeth, Ouch! In order to get braces, I had to make more room in my mouth soo… I got them removed. The recovery process was a little painful but it will be worth it to have pearly whites! I’m getting braces this week which means I am a couple steps closer to perfect and straight teeth! Which I am super stoked for!

Another event… The Fourth of July! This year for the Fourth of July my family and I stayed home to watch the fireworks because we get a really good view of them from my house, which is always good. Let me know in the comments where you watched fireworks this year for the Fourth of July. Then afterwards, of course I had to run to Dunkin’ Donuts for a coffee! My favorite part, lol!

Every weekend that my family and I go down to the campground, almost everyday I go to the cafe in the village. Next to the campground there is a small area where there are mini shops, and one of them is The Garden Cafe. I get their coffee all of the time and it is amazing! The cafe has really good food too! If you come to Avalon Campground, I definitely recommend going to the Garden Cafe!

And finally, my favorite part…. The cardboard boat race. Every year Avalon Campground does a cardboard boat race, where everyone who signs up makes a boat out of only cardboard and duct tape, then they have to try and get across the pool without sinking.. Whoever makes it to the other side first wins! Every year I love to watch it and take videos and pictures. Also, at the end of the race they had the lifeguard and the activity director, Chris race against each other. The lifeguard lost but I think his boat was really good, and that he did very well!

This next coming week I am going to the beach with our friends from the Campground which will be so much fun! I haven’t been to the beach yet this season so I am very excited for that, and plus, we are going to be there all day! So now I can get some really good pictures for the next blog, so stay tuned! Until next time my friends! :)

    Hi Hailey,

I’m glad that you had a nice fourth of July. The cardboard boat race looks like it was a lot of fun :)

Hope you have a great beach day when you go. Staying at the beach all day is one of my favorite things to do.

    Hi Hailey,

It’s Aunt Eileen. I was looking to find a camp site to try out for the first time and was checking out Avalon and I found your blog. I just wanted to say that I enjoyed reading it and I hope to see you at Avalon some time. I’ve never been camping and we just bought our first tent. Take care. Love you and sorry I missed the Christmas cookie baking. I really enjoyed baking with you.
